Mr and Mrs B, NG14 Nottingham
Mr and Mrs B live in a detached house in the rural village of Burton Joyce, Nottingham.
Their current kitchen although of a light wood, made the kitchen feel dark and enclosed. With a family to cook for, the kitchen is well used and is the heart of the home in this property. So the brief was to re design the kitchen to be bright and light with plenty of storage!
Work began with ripping out the old kitchen, storing the boiler out of site and bricking up a doorway, replacing it with a window to let in that much needed light.
The Inzo gloss white finish of the kitchen really does reflect the light. The Silestone worktop in Mont Blanc and the Abode Xcite granite sink really do help to give that bright and airy feel.
All the ‘storage’ magic is happening behind closed doors – double Kessebohmer tandem and corner Le Mans pull out make the best use of what was dead space.
The integrated AEG oven, combination oven and the Siemens integrated full height fridge freezer help to keep the kitchen clutter free.
The glass cabinets and LED lights add interest to the kitchen giving Mr and Mrs B the opportunity to show off some of their glassware.
The lovely curves of the island, topped with the Silestone worktop worktop really does add to the function of the kitchen and ties in beautifully with the dining area with the built in units and bookcase.
East Midlands ceramics supplied the tiles that were laid throughout the kitchen and into the garden room to create a more open space.
