Mr and Mrs D

The Brief

Mr and Mrs D are a retired professional couple from Linby, Nottingham who were looking to refresh their bijoux kitchen. They don’t plan to stay in this home forever so didn’t want to spend a fortune but still wanted a really great quality kitchen.

The Project

The couple opted for a painted solid Ash door: the Kemble in Ivory with solid cast iron knobs all by Burbidge. Their worktop is a brilliant laminate by Duropal in Grey Ottowa R6050FG and works really well with the Ivory doors. The Franke Ascona sink and Mixer tap work brilliantly against the grey worktop and Classica Grigio Seta tiles by East midland Ceramics.

Their choices for clever storage meant that they could maximise the useful space in their new kitchen despite it’s layout limitations. The Le mans corner storage solution by Kessebohmer was chosen for both corners of the kitchen and a secret drawer was used under the oven. The use of a drawer line also meant that every inch of space was used to it’s best.

Mr and Mrs D loved their existing Neff oven so much that they kept it but loyal to the brand they chose to add a new black, gas hob T22536SO and extractor DZ615X0GB. Free standing appliances are the customers own.

We ended up having to fully screed their floor which followed through to the light filled dining area. We think you’ll agree that the Quick Step flooring GSM057 with Uniclic technology was a very smart choice!

Helpful extras included Sensio LED flexible strip lighting and a double convector radiator.

We’re happy to say that our customers were delighted with the finished product and were gushing about our very skilful fitters!
