Mr and Mrs T, Nottingham NG9

The Project

Mr and Mrs T came to us with some specific designs they would like to see in their new kitchen.

After disconnecting appliances, plumbing and removing floor and wall coverings, the electrician got started on installing LED recessed ceiling lights, under cabinet lights and moving power points in readiness for the new appliances. Walls were skimmed and the old kitchen removed…all ready to start!

After choosing solid wood Mornington Alabaster beaded painted doors and the bespoke 18 mm vanilla cabinets, time was taken to design a unit to fit around their American fridge freezer. This included the installation of a lovely wine rack and much needed storage space.

The Neff pyrolytic oven and combination steam oven were integrated into tall housings creating plenty of storage space for those pot and pans! The Neff induction hob sits beautifully beneath the Neff integrated extractor. Cabinets were made to fit this space beautifully and create a focal point in that part of the kitchen.

The worktops were created using Duropal Tivoli, this was also used to create the splash back behind the hob, the upstand which follows the worktop around the kitchen and also the windowsill.

Behind the closed kitchen doors there is a utility larder, a pull put for tea towels, waste bin and customer’s own Le Mans solution, giving access to that unused space in a dead corner. The Prima tumble dryer and Bosch washing machine were neatly hidden too, integrated into the cabinets.

Blanco supplied the Silgranit sink and Mode mixer tap, a lovely choice.

The floor was made level throughout the kitchen diner and Cavalio Dark concrete vinyl floor tiles were laid, finishing off this really lovely kitchen.
