Mr & Mrs S

The Brief

Mr & Mrs S had only had their kitchen installed 5 years prior to our visit but unfortunately it just wasn’t working for them. So we needed to really take the time to work through how they wanted to use their kitchen and make sure that Haydn Interiors got it right. We needed to create a modern space that utalised the storage and working area, without loosing Mr S’s junk cupboard!

The Project

Mr & Mrs S fell in love with our Malmo Natural Oak veneer door. With it’s sharp horizontal grain and handle less design, it gives the perfect finish for a sleek contemporary look. This simple stylish door was teamed with Solarius Granite work surfaces with matching up-stands and Slaty Almond natural stone tiles, to give a wonderful contrast between the sharp grain of the door and the unique marbling of the natural stone. We were able to use a mix of standard and bespoke units to give Mr & Mrs S the perfect design to suit their needs. We tackled an awkward corner unit with a Le Mans corner storage solutionwhich has become a useful storage area instead of an unused dumping ground.  The Helix granite sink and Izar tap, with it’s petite contemporary design, were perfectly placed in this kitchen. The bespoke glass board designed specifically for Mr & Mrs S, allowed the sink area to double up as work surface when it was not in use, making the most of that all important working area.

The new Neff appliances installed for Mr & Mrs S included a new Induction Hob, offering easy to use touch control and a stylish and clean cooking environment. The  Neff Slide&Hide oven allows for an easy and safe approach to cooking, fitted at eye level, it means that Mrs S is no longer having to bend down to get out the Sunday roast.

The all important extra’s – New suspended ceiling fitted with recessed ceiling lights, new skirting board and architrave, move stop tap and tidy up external pipework.
